Meet the White's:

(L-R) Dad, Mom, Sis, Myself

I am thrilled you found your way over to my page!

My name is Emily, but all of my close friends call me Em (of course you can too :).  I am currently working towards a Special Education degree. I consider myself to be a joyful person. I am very Southern, & proud of it. I am a daughter of the King of Kings. and I am absolutely nothing without my Savior. I am a daughter of two Godly people who fell in love twenty-two years ago, a big sister to a beautiful blonde. I am girlfriend to a very handsome man. I am a friend to the best friends a girl could ask for.  And last, but certainly not least, I am a a momma to my beautiful golden retriever, Daisy.

You might be wondering why my blog is called Beautiful Fat Feet...?

A few years back, I began to notice that my feet would swell up whenever I would travel.  At first, I thought it was maybe just the sitting for long periods of time while traveling OR the being thousands of miles in the air when making the trek to the Philippines; however, once I got  home I realized it was still happening. Actually, it was getting worse.  I began going to the doctor. Lots of doctors. Got a lot of blood drawn. Ouch! Finally, they figured out I had what is known as Raynaud's Syndrome. It's incurable, but treatable. Not a huge deal now. I take a pill a day, and the swelling and discoloration stays away.  I only have a few bad days whenever I am super tired, stressed, or been on my feet OR off of my feet a very long time.

A few years back on our way to the Philippines, every one of the ladies' feet swelled up. For some reason or another we all had problems. Honestly, we looked like oompa loompas! So, Ray, my pastor, decided to call us the BFFs (Beautiful Fat Feet). Beautiful feet like we read about in Romans 10:15, and fat because, well....they were fat!

I want this blog to be something I can look back at some time from now, and remember the things that were going on in my life...love, family, friends, travel, every day life, and Christ.
